The Color of Magic
by Terry PratchettTerry Pratchett's first Discworld novel, The Color of Magic, tells the story of the tourist Twoflower and guide, the failed wizard Rincewind.
Although the book is enjoyable, it doesn't really measure up to Pratchett's later achievements. He hadn't fully developed the Discworld's character or even his own writing style as yet, and after reading the rest of the series, I cannot help feeling a little disoriented as I read this book. Even so, I'm liking the book.
